Cookie and Local Storage Notice

Last updated: 28 August 2026

1. What BoardCue stores in the browser

BoardCue uses cookies and browser storage for authentication, security, interface preferences and meeting state. The public marketing site also uses a deliberately restricted PostHog Cloud configuration for traffic and campaign measurement only after a visitor chooses to allow analytics. BoardCue does not enable advertising pixels, Session Replay, heatmaps, surveys or fingerprinting.

2. Essential cookies and authentication

BoardCue and Supabase may use cookies or browser tokens needed to keep users signed in, manage sessions and protect account access. A sidebar_state cookie lasts seven days and remembers whether application navigation is open or collapsed.

3. Local and session storage

  • authentication and session support;
  • active organisation, appearance, navigation and panel preferences;
  • meeting agenda, document reader, layout and pending transcript state;
  • support-session state and administrative safety controls;
  • a necessary record of the visitor's analytics choice; and
  • if analytics is allowed, marketing source attribution for the current visit.

Legacy import can also use IndexedDB. Clearing site data may sign you out, reset preferences or interrupt meeting state.

4. Website analytics

If the visitor selects “Allow analytics”, PostHog measures public-page visits, referral sources, campaign parameters and explicitly named commercial actions. The BoardCue configuration uses browser session storage rather than persistent analytics cookies and creates no named person profile. BoardCue also keeps campaign context in session storage so a later enquiry in the same browser tab can retain campaign-level attribution.

Form contents and contact details are not sent to PostHog. Declining has no effect on access to the website or service. The choice can be changed at any time using “Privacy choices” in the footer. ADEPTABLE's separate business-to-business marketing records are explained in the Privacy Policy and are not governed by the PostHog analytics choice.
